Louis Christiaan Kalff (1897-1976) was a Dutch graphic designer. He studied at the Quellinus school (now the Rietveld Academy) and at the Delft University of Technology.
In 1925, Louis Kalff joined the advertising department of Philips in Eindhoven.
In 1929 the Light Consultancy (Libu) was established under his leadership. He took part in the world exhibitions in Barcelona, Antwerp, Brussels and Paris. Kalff was the designer of the Philips logo.
After World War II he was still active at Philips in the department of industrial design. After his retirement in 1960 he remained at Philips as a consultant.
